Imagine a week here
The main recording room in the Omnivox studio is spacious. With approximately 90 square meters of floor space and a ceiling height of 5.5 meters, audio frequencies can develop and bloom. The room has been soundproofed and acoustically treated, but has been allowed to retain at least some of it’s sonic flavour.
Musicians feel it right away: this really is a pleasant room to create music in! Plus there is plenty of space for everybody. Another bonus is that the size of the room makes loud and sharp sounds less offensive to the ears and playing together becomes a pleasure for a longer time.
As a nearby refuge when energy wanes, you can rest in the Chesterfield armchairs of the lounge corner, slip upstairs for a short nap or enjoy a cup of tea in the garden.
Imagine the possibilities!
The Omnivox Studio is designed and built for many different purposes, with sound recording being the core and natural starting point.
And the main recording room indeed offers great opportunities for creative recording. Sounds can be collected from near and far. Experiment with different positions for room mics is always interesting. Placing mics in the room itself, in the kitchen or in the stairwell can be very rewarding when it comes to creating an interesting sound.
Although recording music is at the core of what we offer, the Omnivox is also used for other things. Content creation being among the most common. The place is great for shooting video. Since we are a recording studio there is the unique possibility of combining a multichannel state of the art sound recording while also filming the session. Scroll down for a couple of nice examples.
The studio is sometimes also booked by artists to warm up and rehearse before tours and gigs.

Instruments and amplifiers
It’s not just accommodation that’s included in the price when you work in the Omnivox studio. You can also borrow instruments and amplifiers free of charge. Many years of music nerdiness and collecting have resulted in a decent arsenal of instruments and music gear that you can borrow from while you’re here, for example:
• Grand piano + 2 different pianos
• Hammond L-100 with Leslie 145
• Juno 60, Yamaha DX7 and other analog synthesizers
• Solina and other string machines
• Drum set, congas, percussion, xylophone
• Electric and acoustic guitars and basses, double bass
• Amplifiers: Marshall, Fender, Acoustic, Ampeg, Jazz Chorus etc
• Effect pedals and units etcetera
