Swedish residential recording studio

Omnivox is a recording studio located in the countryside just outside Borlänge in Dalarna, Sweden.
It’s about 2.5 hours from Stockholm and around 5 hours from Gothenburg. If you’re arriving by train, we offer pickup at Borlänge Central Station.

Omnivox Studio is a large, spacious house dedicated entirely to recording.
When you’re here, the entire house is yours. You have access to everything – the recording studio, engineer, guest apartment, garden, and outdoor seating area.

The live room is approximately 90 square meters with a ceiling height of 5.5 meters, and it’s suitable for everything from ballads to death metal.
The generous space and well-designed acoustics make it possible to combine the energy of playing together with the need for solid instrument separation – even when recording live. The studio also includes two vocal booths.

Whether you’re after intimate ballads or full-on metal, the room adapts.
If you’re looking to capture the energy of a live recording, the Omnivox live room is ideal. With plenty of space and the right acoustic treatment, it’s possible to maintain clarity and separation between instruments.

Solid gear is a foundation for what we do.
Technology isn’t everything, but it helps to know that Omnivox Studio is well equipped with a wide range of modern and vintage recording tools.

• AMEK mixing console, fully recapped in 2023
• 24-channel MX80 2” tape machine

• 24-channel UAD Apollo system
• A selection of guitars, basses, and amps

When booking multiple days, you’re welcome to stay in our guest apartment – at no extra cost.
It’s a bonus that offers several advantages:

Bringing a larger team?
New this year: you can rent our fully furnished guest house with 5 beds, newly renovated kitchen and bathroom, living room with sofa and TV – all in a quiet, rural setting.
