Residential recording studio

Omnivox is a spacious and well equipped recording studio, 2.5 hours north of Stockholm in the Swedish countryside. As well as the studio itself you are most welcome to use the guest apartment while you are here working. In fact it’s already included in the price. 

The heart of the place is the large recording room of 90 sqm with 5.5 meters ceiling height. Feel free to use any of the vintage gear we’ve got. Among the instruments you are free to use while here there are three different acoustic pianos, including a newly refurbished Malmsjö grand piano from 1959. We also have quite a few vintage electronic instruments, such as analog synths, organs, string machines, drum machines etc. Drums and percussion, guitars, vintage amps and much more. 

High flexibility

You can record analog or digital, or use both simultaneously. The mixing console is an AMEK TAC Magnum analog mixer from 1991, refurbed an recapped in 2022. It’s hooked up to both the Mac Pro with Logic Pro X and an Atari MX80 24ch  2″ tape machine. We use 8+16 channels UAD Apollo interface. 

It’s also quite easy to hook up your own computer, Pro Tools-rig or whatever to the system at place. Everything is designed for high flexibility. We will help you set everything up.
