Residential recording studio

Omnivox is a spacious and well equipped recording studio, 2.5 hours north of Stockholm in the Swedish countryside. As well as the studio itself you are most welcome to use the guest apartment while you are here working. In fact it’s already included in the price. 

The heart of the place is the large record­ing room of 90 sqm with 5.5 meters ceil­ing height. Feel free to use any of the vin­tage gear we’ve got. Among the instru­ments you are free to use while here there are three dif­fer­ent acoustic pianos, includ­ing a new­ly refur­bished Malm­sjö grand piano from 1959. We also have quite a few vin­tage elec­tron­ic instru­ments, such as ana­log synths, organs, string machines, drum machines etc. Drums and per­cus­sion, gui­tars, vin­tage amps and much more. 

High flexibility

You can record ana­log or dig­i­tal, or use both simul­ta­ne­ous­ly. The mix­ing con­sole is an AMEK TAC Mag­num ana­log mix­er from 1991, refurbed an recapped in 2022. It’s hooked up to both the Mac Pro with Log­ic Pro X and an Atari MX80 24ch  2″ tape machine. We use 8+16 chan­nels UAD Apol­lo interface. 

It’s also quite easy to hook up your own com­put­er, Pro Tools-rig or what­ev­er to the sys­tem at place. Every­thing is designed for high flex­i­bil­i­ty. We will help you set every­thing up.
